Let's be honest - to produce a podcast like this, we have costs that we need to recoup.
We understand that dollars are tight for all businesses at the moment so rather than looking for a single sponsor for our project, we want to provide opportunities for small businesses across Australia to be part of the project.
And that's why we are using sponsorbid to manage our sponsorship program. In broad terms, this is how it works:
- Each potential sponsor decides on what they think it should cost to sponsor one or more episodes in the series.
- The owner / manager visits the project page on the sponsorbid web site and enters a bid for the rights to sponsor one or more episodes. As part of this bid, the business can choose which episode(s) they want to sponsor and the amount they are happy to pay.
- At the end of the sponsorbid period (31 May 2025), all bids will be reviewed. Where multiple bids are received for the same episode, the highest value bid will be the winner. Where multiple bids for the same highest amount are received for the same episode, the bid that was received first will be the one we choose.
- THEN AND ONLY THEN, we will send tax invoices to the winning sponsorbidders and ask them to pay, just like any other bill. We don't request your bank details or credit card or payment up front when you bid - just payment of the tax invoice when we send it in June.
Opportunities to sponsor an episode of The I've Been Everywhere Project start at $99 per episode including GST. As long as your sponsorbid is at least $99, you are in with a big chance of sponsoring an episode.
What's in it for the sponsor?
At a minimum, you will be entitled to a 250-word live read during the episode. Imagine everybody who listens to that episode hearing all about your business, especially if you have chosen to sponsor a local episode!
As well, for higher bids, there are opportunities for your business to feature on this page and on our social media channels, with a link through to your web site, just like those bidders we have already received - see below.
Full details are outlined on the sponsorbid project page.
